The Irondequoit Fire District has been made aware of phone calls to town residents from individuals claiming to represent the IFD or the Fire Associations and requesting donations.

These calls are NOT from the Irondequoit Fire District or either Fire Association. This is a scam targeting our community.
💡 The Irondequoit Fire District:
✅ Does NOT solicit donations by phone or in person
✅ Is fully funded by fire district taxes and grant funding
✅ Will never ask for personal financial information over the phone
We urge all residents to:
🔹 Hang up immediately if you receive such a call
🔹 Do not provide any personal or financial information
🔹 Report the incident to the Irondequoit Police Department at (585) 336-6000
