This morning Captain Andy Beyea was presented with the Fire Chiefs award for the work he has done over the last year composing IFD's first ever Internship program. This program which runs approximately 12 weeks will guide interns in gaining hands-on experience in fire service operations, assist in training sessions, and complete structured coursework outlined in the internship syllabus. It also helps interns develop professionalism, communication, and leadership abilities they can carry into any future career. As a part of the program, each intern will also earn college credit through MCC.
