Congratulations to 5 members of the IFD who have completed over 79 hours of training to be certified at the Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations level. This course has become the new standard for any member who operates at the Exterior Firefighter level for the IFD. Exterior Firefighters support the mission of the IFD by performing tasks at emergencies such as laddering buildings, establishing water supply and performing salvage and overhaul operations. These individuals have spent the last several month completing the necessary hours for certification. The course was spearheaded by Lt. Josh Mastin who served as the lead instructor. Great job by all!
