Meeting Schedule:
All meetings will be held at 6:30pm at either the Empire Fire Station, located at 405 Empire Boulevard or Culver Station, located at 2960 Culver Road, in the Town of Irondequoit, Rochester, NY.
Regular meeting dates are as follows:
- August 5th – Culver
- August 19th – Culver
- September 5th - Culver
- September 9th – Empire
- September 23rd – Empire
- October 7th – Culver
- October 21st (Public Budget Hearing and Final Adoption) – Culver
- November 4th – Empire
- November 18th – Empire
- December 2nd – Culver
- December 10th – (Election Only, NO MEETING) – Culver
- December 16th – Culver
- December 30th – Culver

are open to the public and will comply

Battalion Chief Mark Thomas, September 06
Each year, the Seneca Waterways Council (Boy Scouts), has an auction, selling local merchandise or services to raise money for their organization. The Irondequoit Fire District offered a ride on our fireboat. While we are not in the tour boat business, the Boy Scouts have a direct connection to us. The Boy Scouts are the governing body of our Explorer program.

IFD Members complete B.O.S.A.R. Class

Over the last week, eight IFD officers completed the Boat Operators Search and Rescue course (BOSAR) hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard, Rochester station.

IFD holds Swearing in Ceremony

This past week, IFD held a swearing in ceremony for our new firefighters, newly promoted officers and Fire Chief. We also presented our district mechanic with a certificate of recognition for all of his hard work that keeps our apparatus fleet in service.

Recruit Live Fire Training

With just one week left until our probationary firefighters get assigned to a group, we took the opportunity to conduct some additional training.

Congratulation Battalion Chief Kevin Quinlan on your retirement!

Please join us in congratulating Battalion Chief Kevin Quinlan on his retirement.
Kevin joined the fire service in 1984 as a volunteer firefighter with the Point Pleasant Fire Department. Over the years Kevin worked his way up through the ranks of the line office, and eventually served as Fire Chief from 1999-2002.

Firefighter Ryan Martin awarded with The Fire Chiefs Award

Congratulations to Firefighter Ryan Martin who was presented with the Fire Chiefs Award at last nights board of Fire Commission meeting by Assistant Chief Shane Metcalfe.
Ryan received this award as a result of his hard work in securing our recently donated Community Risk Reduction vehicle, donated by West Herr Automotive.
