Retired German Firefighter stops at IFD during his cross country journey!

Jorg Richter, a retired firefighter from Cologne Germany is cycling across the country from San Francisco to New York to raise awareness on rare pediatric diseases. During his journey he stopped into IFD along the way for a little recharge and meet the crew.

Earlier this week IFD welcomed five new recruit Firefighters to the career side of our organization. Three of the five are newly hired and two are transfers from area fire departments. Chief Sessler hits 20 years of service!

We would like to congratulate Chief Steve Sessler on reaching the milestone of 20 years of service with the Ridge Culver/Irondequoit Fire District.

Two month IFD Stats

It has been a busy two months for the Irondequoit Fire District!

Since the consolidation between the former Ridge Culver and Laurelton Fire Districts on May 16th, the IFD has responded to more than 500 calls for service. The calls include but are not limited to: 139 fire calls, 251 EMS calls, 70 MVA's and 36 additional calls for service.
