Meeting Schedule:

All meetings will be held at 6:30pm at either the Empire Fire Station, located at 405 Empire Boulevard or Culver Station, located at 2960 Culver Road, in the Town of Irondequoit, Rochester, NY.

Regular meeting dates are as follows:

  • June 24th – Culver
  • July 15th – Empire
  • August 5th – Culver
  • August 19th – Culver
  • September 9th – Empire
  • September 23rd – Empire
  • October 7th – Culver
  • October 21st (Public Budget Hearing and Final Adoption) – Culver
  • November 4th – Empire
  • November 18th – Empire
  • December 2nd – Culver
  • December 10th – (Election Only, NO MEETING) – Culver
  • December 16th – Culver
  • December 30th – Culver

All meetings of the Fire District
are open to the public and will comply

Recruit Live Fire Training

With just one week left until our probationary firefighters get assigned to a group, we took the opportunity to conduct some additional training.

Please join us in congratulating Battalion Chief Kevin Quinlan on his retirement.

Kevin joined the fire service in 1984 as a volunteer firefighter with the Point Pleasant Fire Department. Over the years Kevin worked his way up through the ranks of the line office, and eventually served as Fire Chief from 1999-2002.

In April of 2004 Kevin was hired by the Ridge-Culver Fire District as a career firefighter. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Firefighter Ryan Martin awarded with The Fire Chiefs Award

Congratulations to Firefighter Ryan Martin who was presented with the Fire Chiefs Award at last nights board of Fire Commission meeting by Assistant Chief Shane Metcalfe.

Ryan received this award as a result of his hard work in securing our recently donated Community Risk Reduction vehicle, donated by West Herr Automotive.

No Caption Battalion Chief Kevin Quinlan sworn into office

Earlier this week, a small swearing in ceremony was held for Battalion Chief Kevin Quinlan. While IFD still has many Firefighters and newly promoted Officers to swear in, Chief Quinlan is scheduled to retire well before that swearing in date. With much of his family in from out of town, this surprise ceremony came together seamlessly.

New Marine Unit 1776 Has Arrived!

A little over 2 years ago the, then Ridge Culver Fire District, approved the purchase of a new marine Fire Boat. A committee had been formed to evaluate the needs and risks of the Irondequoit Bay and to evaluate different boat designs to maximize our response capabilities to answer these challenges. During the process the IFD was formed by the consolidation between Ridge Culver and Laurelton.
