When Lithium-Ion batteries enter thermal runaway, they breakdown quickly and can explode into a dangerous fire releasing toxic gases and you may only have seconds to escape. 2023 Awards & Swearing in ceremony

On Thursday November 16th, the Irondequoit Fire District held its annual awards and swearing in ceremony. The first portion of the ceremony was the swearing in of five Firefighters, two Lieutenants and one Assistant Fire Chief. Remax Program

The Ridge-Culver Volunteer Fire Association was recently presented a check from local relator Jason Ruffino. A long supporter of the Irondequoit Fire Service Community, Jason wanted to give back to the community he grew up in. Jason donates $500 for every home he sells in Irondequoit. Thank you Steam Police!

We would like to take a minute to thank the Steam Police for cleaning and decontaminating some of our apparatus cabs this morning.
October is a particularly busy month with training, such as our annual Live Fire training. So while it is near impossible to keep our cabs spotless even with regular cleaning, the Steam Police helped us get to that deep clean!
