IFD members attend NYS Technical Rescue Conference

This past weekend, three of our members attended the NYS Technical Rescue Conference hosted at the NY State Preparedness Training Center in Oriskany NY. The weekend program offered a variety of presentations on Incident Management, Search & Rescue, Rope, Water, Vehicle, Structural Collapse, SUAS, Medical Care and even some HazMat scenarios. ... Irondequoit Fire Signs On The Air!

At around 09:15 hrs this morning, the Laurelton Fire District and Ridge Culver Fire District both made their final radio transmissions as independent departments. With the help of the Fire Dispatchers at 911, they read prepared statements thanking their members for all of their work, past and present, and signed off the air for the final time.

5 years in the making

What started back in 2017, came to fruition tonight. The joint boards of the Ridge Culver Fire District and the Laurelton Fire District voted to consolidate into the Irondequoit Fire District. The process will become a reality at midnight on May 16th.

Future IFD units respond to working fire in St. Paul

On Thursday April 28th E182, Q160 and R188 responded to a working fire in the St. Paul Fire district on St. Paul Blvd. First arriving units arrived with smoke and fire showing from the second floor of a two story. IFD units assisted with Search, Overhaul and Fire Suppression. Nice job by all companies!
