The Ridge-Culver Fire Association is hosting a Parade & Street Dance on Saturday, June 24th 2023! The parade kicks off at 6pm from Titus Avenue and Kings Highway and proceeds south to Bishop Kearney High School. April 10, 2023 Community Infant Car Seat Install/Check Event

The Irondequoit Fire District will be hosting a Community Infant Car Seat Install/Check Event at the Culver Rd station at 2960 Culver Rd on April 10th from 3pm - 6pm. IFD Certifies as Class II ISO rating!

The Irondequoit Fire District is proud to announce that we have received the ISO PPC (Insurance Service Office Public Protection Classification) rating of 2! We, the IFD, are one of only a handful of Fire Protection Districts in the state, and the nation, with the rating of 2! This is due to many factors, which include response time, training, staffing, community outreach, and more!

Lieutenant Price celebrates 25 years of service!

Join us in congratulating Lieutenant Dave Price on 25 years of service to the citizens of Irondequoit!
Dave was hired by the Laurelton Fire District in the spring of 1998 where he remained until the merge of LFD and RCFD. In 2020 Dave was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant which he still holds today.

IFD members attend unique training

This past weekend, four of our firefighters traveled to South Carolina for the Annual Southeastern Extrication School event. Our firefighters trained on advanced extrication and patient removal from vehicles hanging from elevation, as well as winching and lifting and moving vehicles using a plethora of tools and equipment, which culminated in a large-scale final scenario which was ran by our Irondequoit ... A busy week for IFD!

The last seven days have been quite eventful for your Irondequoit firefighters.
On Sunday 2/26 we took advantage of a unique training opportunity offered to us by fellow firefighters from the 3rd battalion. IFD was able to send four crews to a vacant commercial property in the East Rochester Fire District to train on various topics in a real building prior to demolition. Crews trained on hose line ...
